 It has been four long years since Hyosan High School fell to the zombie virus, and fans have been desperate for news. Finally, we have concrete updates on All of Us Are Dead Season 2! From filming schedules to new cast members and plot leaks, here is everything we know about the return of Netflix’s massive zombie hit.

Filming Status: The End is in Sight!


Good news, zombie fans! Reports confirm that filming for Season 2 is in its final stages. The production is scheduled to wrap up principal photography by mid-February 2026. There are also confirmed reports of a final shooting schedule taking place at the Gangwon Provincial Government Building on January 17th and 18th. This suggests the production is finishing up some major exterior scenes before heading into post-production.

When Will It Be Released? (The 2027 Reality)

This is the part that hurts. While rumors circulated about a December 2026 release, Netflix has not included All of Us Are Dead Season 2 in its official 2026 lineup yet. Given the heavy visual effects (VFX) needed for a zombie apocalypse series, a release in the first half of 2027 is looking most likely. However, we can still hope for a surprise late-2026 drop!

The Cast: Who Survived & Who is New?

The core four are officially back!

  • Yoon Chan-young returns as Cheong-san (Yes, he’s alive! Or is he a "Hambie"?).

  • Park Ji-hu returns as On-jo (Now a university student in Seoul).

  • Cho Yi-hyun is back as the class president/half-zombie Nam-ra.

  • Lomon returns as Su-hyeok.

New Faces: The cast is getting bigger with fresh talent, including Kim Si-eun and Roh Jae-won (both known for Squid Game Season 2), who are joining the survivors in key roles.

The Plot: A New Nightmare in Seoul

Season 2 will reportedly take a darker turn. The story moves away from the high school setting to the bustling streets of Seoul. The official logline hints that On-jo is trying to live a normal life as a university student, only for a new wave of infection to hit the capital city. With "Hambies" (half-zombies) like Nam-ra and possibly Cheong-san existing between humans and monsters, the line between friend and foe will be blurrier than ever.

The shift from a high school survival drama to a city-wide apocalypse in Seoul sounds incredible. If Cheong-san returns as a super-powered half-zombie, the dynamic between him and Su-hyeok will be intense.
